Revision notes
Binary is base 2: $(1101)_2 = 8 + 4 + 0 + 1 = 13$. To convert decimal to binary, divide by 2 repeatedly and read the remainders upward. Hexadecimal uses 0–9 and A–F: $255 = (FF)_{16}$. 1 byte = 8 bits.
